Visitors to Baird’s are easily distinguishable from the regulars, as they gaze in admiration at the walls, covered in photographs of all the Celtic Greats, from Charles Patrick Tully to Henrik Larsson, Jimmy McGrory, to John ‘Yogi’ Hughes,  including the greatest of them all, Jimmy ‘Jinky’ Johnstone. The pictures cover Celtic Football Club from the beginning in 1888 under the guidance of Brother Walfrid, depicting the early ‘Brake Clubs’, to the present day. Images of the clubs greatest moments are everywhere - from beating the mighty Inter Milan to become the first British team to win the European Cup in 1967 to the day the fans ruled the world in Seville -  it’s all there.

As Celtic Park is only a short walk from Baird’s Bar, the pub is a busy place on match days and on European match nights. Visitors from all over the world (and even Edinburgh!) come to sample the atmosphere, as well as the beer. They enjoy a chat with the locals who have some interesting, funny and (sometimes) hair-raising stories to tell!

When you are next in Glasgow, pop in for a beer and a blether. Baird’s Bar is the only place to be for the true Celtic supporter.
